cheques

We accept all cheques under these conditions: #1 Cashable immediately in a major Indonesian bank on the day it is presented. Ask the cheque’s issuer if it will be cashable in those conditions or not. If you are unsure contact us. #2 Any costs due to cashing the cheque will be your costs, including any differences in exchange rates. Usually guests will experience better exchange rates but worse is not impossible.

We accept bank wire transfers, details will be in your invoice, which will be sent to you when you book a surf trip.

 
accepted barters

“Money is the mutually accepted commodity of all parties involved” ~ Imam Malik ~ it isn’t rare that Wayang Ombak can accept things or stuff to barter with. If you want to know what our members might need, contact us.

We accept gold in its most commonly acceptable barter forms. Coins, bullion bars and bullion grains. Purities accepted are 75% upwards. Prices will be the latest world gold commodity prices multiplied with the purity of the barter object. We will use our own means to determine the gold purities of the barter object.

Electronic Gold in all its forms is also acceptable, in particular Gold Pool or Gold Coin accounts held in trust in acceptable repositories around the world. Examples: Kitco, e-Gold, e-Dinar, Dinar First, m-Badar, and so on.

We accept silver in its most commonly acceptable barter forms. Coins, bullion bars and bullion grains. Purities accepted is 95% upwards. Prices will be the latest world silver commodity prices multiplied with the purity of the barter object. We will use our own means to determine the silver purities of the barter object.

 
credit cards & paypal

Generally you would only need to use your credit cards to pay for your booking fees. We offer such credit card payments using PayPal.

For your surf trip payments we recommend not using credit cards. Wayang Ombak does not want to be part of the ‘get it now, pay later’ culture that is one of the main culprits of world resources destruction and played a big part in today’s world crises.

That said, we accept credit card funded payments through PayPal. We can even help advance you some cash for your trip in exchange for your credit card payments. Please note that all credit card and PayPal payments is subject to additional costs.

Advice: it is a good idea to make sure you pay your credit card bills in full as soon as you can before the credit card companies charge you their high interest rates.
